⁵ Nevertheless, Absalom said, “Now call Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear what he has to say.” ⁶ When Hushai came to Absalom, Absalom said to him, “Ahithophel has advised this [plan of action]. Should we do what he says? If not, you speak [and explain why not].” ⁷ So Hushai said to Absalom, “Ahithophel has not given good advice this time.”
